Tara Costello

About Me

Tara Costello was born in Santa Rosa, California though she would go on to lead a worldly life. For all of elementary school, she was living in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore as an expat. She returned to the San Francisco bay area for middle school and high school, where she attended Tamalpais High school and was a member of Conservatory Theatre Ensemble, one of the premiere theatre programs in Bay Area high schools. She got her Bachelor of Arts in Drama from The Catholic University of America located in Washington, DC. Post-Graduation, She completed an Acting Apprenticeship with Horizon Theatre Company in Atlanta, GA. She is currently residing in Atlanta.


Tara has studied Shakespeare extensively from high school through to the present. She has worked with such people as Barry Kraft (Dramaturg at Oregon Shakespeare Festival), Leslie Currier (Artistic Director of Marin Shakespeare Company), Leo Wringer, Gary Sloan, Jullianna Reese, and Tim Hardy. She considers Shakespeare to be one of her main focuses as an actor though she is happy to work on any great script.


Tara has also been lucky enough to have worked on many world premiere plays throughout her short career. As a university student, Tara was able to be involved with many of the MFA playwrighting candidates projects through her time and their time at Catholic University. As an apprentice at Horizon Theatre, She was able to continue work with new plays and emerging playwrights of all ages and skill levels located in the South.


Since July 2017, Tara Costello has been represented by Gina Henry at MI Talent for theatrical and commercial projects and has been branching out in film work since being signed.


Tara Costello has also been very interested in history and has started wearing 1940s and 1950s clothes in her daily life as a form of self-expression. Since moving to Atlanta, she has started doing pinup modeling and has been published in a few small magazines.
